Self Advocacy

The work we do begins with paying close attention to the feedback we are receiving from those we support. While disability allies, dedicated staff, family members, and others throughout the community often take on the role of advocating on behalf of people with disabilities, it is more important to hear firsthand experiences and solutions from a person with a disability. Self Advocacy provides the opportunity for those who want to advocate for themselves and/or on behalf of others to come together, speak confidently, and share their ideas, concerns, and insight about how people and communities could better support them.
